How much do your bathroom remodels cost?

Bathroom remodeling can range from the very small and cosmetic to a complete demo to the studs.  We’ve completed Colorado Springs projects for a few hundred dollars — up to $15,000.  The very best way to get this question answered is just to call (719) 439-5420 to start your estimate process. It’s free and it’s easy!

How long will it take to remodel my bathroom?

This answer lies in the details specific to your project. Time is determined by the current availability of the materials in the Colorado Springs area, the complexity of your projects design, the year your home was constructed (what work will be required to bring your space up to code)… etc.

Here are a couple of questions you can ask yourself to help you determine the length of the time it will take to complete your project.

  1. Do you need to remove a bathtub?
  2. Do you have water damage?
  3. Does the toilet need to be pulled out?
  4. Does the flooring need to be replaced?

If you answer yes to some or all of these questions, it is best to assume your bathroom remodel will take 15 – 30+ days. In some cases we are able to start and complete a project in around 7 days.

Do I need to obtain a permit for bathroom remodeling in Colorado Springs?

Permits are required for bathroom remodels however, as the homeowner, you do not need to worry about pulling the correct permits yourself. We will provide you with an estimate for your remodel that will include all permit costs and then take care of obtaining those permits ourselves.

Do you offer help with bathroom remodeling design suggestions?

Yes! You can, but you do not need to, have a design completed yourself. We’ll schedule an appointment with you to inspect your space and gain an understanding of what it is you want out of your remodel and then, once your needs and desires for the remodel are made clear, we can make suggestions for a design and construct a plan that will best carry out that design.

I have an idea and a desired budget. Can you tell me how much I can get for that?

Yes, we’d be happy to hear about the vision you have for your space to determine whether or not we can carry out those plans under your desired budget. There are a number of elements in a bathroom remodel that can be made flexible to ensure a budget is kept and we’ll gladly go over those options with you.

Colorado Springs Building Permits

Many want to know… “Can I pull a Colorado Springs bathroom remodeling permit myself?”. The short answer is yes, you can pull a building permit yourself, but the long answer is a little more complicated. While you do not have to be a licensed contractor to pull a building permit yourself, there are liabilities that you expose yourself to that you would not be vulnerable to while using a licensed contractor on your project.

Unlike the homeowner, contractors are required to carry insurance in the event of an accident resulting from a renovation being done on your property. Without that insurance, you become responsible for any bodily harm that may come to a worker while on your property or damage unintentionally done to your neighbors structure while renovations on your home are being made. And in the event that you accidentally damage your own home in the process of renovation, most insurance companies will not cover the damage done to your house because it has been done specifically by, or under the supervision, of you, the homeowner.

Outside issues of liability, you also open yourself up to the headache of knowing and ensuring that your home project satisfies all current building codes. In the event that a home inspector should find your project not up to code, you would be responsible to come up with both the funds and the time necessary to correct the issues.
